Terms & Conditions of Hire
Goods supplied at all times remain the property of ESL/Hire-It-All, hereafter referred to as “Hire-It-All”.
1. The hire rates include for a three-day period commencing on day of delivery, day of hire and the day of return. Items not returned by the return date will be charged at an extra 20% of the hire rate for each day overdue.
2. A Deposit equal to 50% of the hire charge, or £10 whichever is the higher. Or an amount at the discretion of the Company is due together with the hire charge at the commencement of the hire. Drivers are not allowed to make a delivery until payment is received in full, unless account facilities have been approved. Drivers collecting goods are not authorised to return deposits or check goods.
3. Goods returned/collected will be counted after washing and deposit returned by post after the equipment has been checked by authorised staff. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost, the HIRER is liable for the balance. Customer’s goods cannot be accepted as replacement.
4. Prices subject to alterations without notice.
5. Minimum Hire Charge is £10.00 collected - delivered orders minimums by area. All equipment is despatched clean and ready to use. The hire charges are based on the assumption that all equipment will be returned clean. If equipment is returned in a soiled condition it is on the understanding that a cleaning surcharge will be incurred. The cost of this service is up to 50% of the hire charge and is raised on all soiled items. If the “Crystal Clean” service is used we require that excess food be removed from the plates and cutlery.
6. All Shortages, damaged, broken or chipped items, or incorrect items returned will be charged for, based on our current Price List.
7. No exception will be made to Clause 6 unless such shortages, damaged or broken items are reported to this office within 12 hours of the collection or delivery time.
8. Boxes and cartons will be charged up to £30.00, if damaged, part missing or not returned.
9. Orders are accepted subject to these conditions and the availability of the equipment at the commencement of the hire.
10. Prices are exclusive of VAT.
11. CANCELLATION CHARGE. Any hire order or part thereof cancelled: Under 4 Weeks – loss of deposit, Under 7 Days, 50% of hire charge. Under 72 hrs – 100% of hire charge
12. DELIVERY or COLLECTION is not included in the hire charge. If delivery or collection is required, a charge will be made depending upon distance. Charges will be based on our driver having unencumbered access to a convenient ground floor location, The customer must ensure that a responsible person is in attendance to receive or hand over the hire goods as applicable. In the case of collection, all goods should be checked, re-boxed as appropriate and ready for immediate loading. Any delays, additional labour or transport or other expenses resulting from the failure by the customer to fulfil any of conditions referred to in this clause will incur extra charges.
13. DAMAGE TO LINEN. Table linen must not be returned damp or wet. This can cause mildew. Damage resulting from mildew or other stains and burn marks will be invoiced at the full replacement cost.
14. Two forms of identification showing the invoice address are required for all customers collecting equipment from the warehouse.
15. The full Conditions of Contract are printed on the reverse of the invoice / confirmation.
16. Loss, accidental damage or injury is not covered by Hire-It-All insurance’s and is entirely at the Hirer's own risk.
17. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safety/Operating instructions are provided with all equipment. It is important that the Hirer is familiar with this before operating any equipment. The Hirer is responsible for operating all items/equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with the safety operating instructions provided.
All equipment has been checked prior to delivery, if however the Hirer is in any doubt as to safety or proper use, turn off/disconnect all services to the appliance and contact our office. No responsibility will be accepted for accidents caused through improper use. Barbecues must not be used indoors or in marquees. Use of gas cylinders not supplied by us may be dangerous. Proper ventilation must be provided for all cooking and heating regardless of fuel used.
18. CREDIT ACCOUNTS Regular customers wishing to apply for a Credit Account must do so in writing and provide two trade and bankers references.
